Exterior Foam Insulation

Studs conduct heat much better than insulation does, so a wall that looks well-insulated still leaks energy along every framing member. Rigid foam installed on the outside of the sheathing covers those studs, reduces heat flow and helps keep the wall sheathing warmer and drier.

We install exterior foam insulation across Nashville and Middle Tennessee as part of siding projects. We select the right thickness for the siding type, tape and seal the seams so the foam doubles as an air barrier where appropriate, extend window and door trim to suit the added depth and fasten the siding properly through the foam.
