Weatherproofing & Moisture Protection

Air sealing and envelope upgrades that stop drafts at the wall's outer layer

Air leaks around penetrations, joints and openings waste energy and carry moisture into walls. Siding projects are a chance to close them.

Air Sealing & Envelope Upgrades

The outer wall has many small openings: pipes, wires, dryer vents, hose bibs, light fixtures, joints between materials and gaps at the sill plate. Each lets air move in or out, and moving air carries moisture. When the siding is off, many of these can be sealed from the outside for much less effort than from inside.

We seal and upgrade the envelope across Nashville and Middle Tennessee as part of siding work. We seal penetrations with proper sealants and gaskets, tape sheathing seams, coordinate with foam insulation and house wrap and recommend further steps, such as attic or crawl space sealing, that complement the work.
